Artist Bio: Somnath Pal is a Superani artist based in Mumbai, India. He is also an Art Director with Redefine, DNEG. In his free time, he writes and draws to desperately make sense of the world around him. Coffee is his indispensable companion.
Somnath Pal is a graduate of IDC, IIT Bombay. Evidently, he has been clueless about his career choices, otherwise, why would one jump into the visual arts after four grueling years in Engineering? His lack of focus and unabashed fickleness has led him to try his hands at everything the world had to offer- from production design for a live-action film to comic books and animation, even art direction and VFX. The latest word on the block is that he is now trying his hands at writing screenplays. Seems like his nonchalance is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future. Hopefully, he continues to draw.
