Description
Statement about the painting: Moon Chase is inspired by Chinese folktales about the goddess moon and her companion the white jade rabbit. Both are blessed with immortal life but are forever confined to reside in the moon. As the moon rabbit pounds mochi and herbs into his elixirs of life, the moon goddess dreams of the husband she once knew and the life she had while on earth. The moon goddess fated to keep watch over the ones she loves from the distance of the moon and the rabbit destined to pound elixirs for eternity, live together forever chasing their someone or something far beyond
the moon.
