Description
Poem for the painting:
Deep in the morning,
While the moon was up,
And the mist was low,
In the lightening dark,
A fisherman woke and set off to row,
Heavy eyes and heavy feet,
He slipped on a coat and slid on the boat,
And pushed off the shore,
Off to the fish and off to the sea,
To cast and to catch,
What fish he could,
Before the sun arose,
And lightly spoke,
Secret words,
To send all fish,
Swimming and sleeping away.
