Artist Bio: Beck, who grew up in Great Britain, painted with great passion in early childhood, was a keen observer and deeply impressed by the Belgian surrealist René Magritte. Nevertheless, the artist, who now lives in Canada, initially chose a civil profession after school, studied graphic design at Coventry University and successfully made a career as a graphic artist. However, painting never let go of him all the time, and so he continued to refine his artistic work as a self-taught person until he finally gave up his profession, to work as a freelance artist. Today his works can be found in numerous collections worldwide and have been shown in many exhibitions – in summer 2023 the artnow Gallery in Berlin is showing its first solo exhibition in Europe.
